In a divorce, a court may approve spousal support, common referred to as alimony.  However, post-divorce the lives and circumstances upon which the original spousal support determination was made may change.  If one or both former spouses experience a significant change in income or other circumstances, a modification of the terms of the  spousal support arrangements may be sought.
